Born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Oahu, Derek has local knowledge of the market and has seen neighborhoods grow and change over the years.
Derek graduated from Punahou School and the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences.
Derek previously worked as a Software Design Engineer at DataHouse Consulting Inc. for 8 years, serving as the project manager and lead developer on numerous projects for large companies in Hawaii and Seattle. As a project manager he worked with his clients to understand their business objectives and come up with a plan to reach those objectives. As a lead developer he designed custom software applications and led teams of developers in building these applications.
Drawing on his experience as a consultant and an engineer, Derek brings a business approach to real estate. He utilizes his strong negotiation skills to represent his clients while providing them with effective communication, timely information, attention to detail and excellent customer service. Derek is a full-time Realtor and is available 7 days a week to answer any questions and ensure that every detail of your transaction is taken care of.

Certified Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource®

The National Association of REALTORS® offers the SFR certification to REALTORS® who want to help both buyers and sellers navigate these complicated transactions, as demand for professional expertise with distressed sales grows.

Born and raised in Hilo on the Big Island, Tyler has called Oahu home since 2006.
Tyler graduated from Waiakea High School, the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering, and the Naval Post-graduate School with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Tyler previously was a commissioned as a Naval Officer of 8 years, serving as a division officer onboard USS Taylor (FFG-50) out of Mayport, FL, and as an Engineering Duty Officer stationed at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. As a division officer, he led a division of 25 personnel and qualified as a Surface Warfare Officer. As an Engineering Duty Officer, he oversaw the major repair and upgrading of nuclear powered submarines and later was in charge of the docking team, consisting 50 personnel responsible for the complex docking and undocking of all vessels in Pearl Harborç—´ drydocks.
Investing in real estate since 2001 and being away with the Navy, Tyler saw first hand the impact a property manager has on the profitability, sustainment, and piece of mind desired by an absentee landlord. He has also personally managed five of his own properties located in Jacksonville, Seattle, and here on Oahu. Drawing from his experience as a naval engineering officer, Tyler brings a systematic, professional, and personal approach to real estate, utilizing technology to provide real-time information for his clients.
